About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Diversity Officer (CDO) to lead and implement strategies that advance diversity, equity, and inclusion within the institution. The successful candidate will be a proactive and visible leader, with a proven track record in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to assess and enhance the effectiveness of programs in these areas. Applicants for the CDO position at the company should have a master's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for a terminal or doctoral degree, and at least 10 years of senior-level administrative experience in higher education or a comparably complex enterprise. The role requires exceptional communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to engage with a wide range of constituencies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of contemporary issues in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a commitment to the academic public mission. Responsibilities include providing leadership in diversity, equity, and inclusion, leading the development of a strategic plan, and fostering partnerships to support institutional change and growth. The CDO will also be expected to have a strong background in data assessment and to be a strategic leader in social justice learning.
