Craters & Freighters of San Diego is a leading crating and moving company dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients. We are seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Position Summary:

The Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles, including box trucks and flat beds, while transporting crated items, furniture, and other belongings to and from client locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, physical stamina, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vehicles ranging from pickup trucks to box trucks to 26' trucks while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring vehicles are in good working order and reporting any maintenance issues.
• Load and unload crated items, furniture, and other belongings, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment (dollies, hand trucks, straps, etc.).
• Secure items in the truck to prevent damage during transport.
• Navigate to client locations using maps, GPS, and other resources.
• Provide exceptional customer service, interacting professionally and respectfully with clients.
• Accurately and on time, complete all necessary paperwork, including logs, delivery receipts, and inspection reports.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck.
• Assist in warehouse duties when not driving, as needed.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures.
• Report any accidents or incidents immediately.

Qualifications:

• Valid class “C” Driver License 
• Minimum of 1 year of experience driving box trucks, moving trucks
• Excellent knowledge of local and surrounding area roads and traffic patterns.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry heavy objects 75 – 100 lbs.
