Job Description
We are on the hunt for a Controller in the automotive industry, situated in Florence, South Carolina. The Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing financial matters, working directly with other department heads and managing a team within a busy office environment. This role is integral to the successful operation of the company, requiring the ability to deal with a variety of people and problems in a complex accounting system.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage the office staff, including accounting clerks, cashiers, and receptionist with data input tasks.
• Work closely with all department heads, advising on all financial matters.
• Process and oversee contracts through the Title clerk.
• Implement and maintain detailed accounting systems, including tracking each part and vehicle.
• Use Accounting Software Systems to manage all accounting functions efficiently.
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) accurately.
• Cultivate a positive working environment, acknowledging that every team member is critical to the company's success.
• Handle complex problems and situations, understanding that not every issue is straightforward.
• Collaborate with salespeople who drive the business.
