We are a leading tax law firm in San Francisco looking for an experienced CPA for tax return preparation and review. The qualified candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of tax codes, regulations, and strategies and a minimum of five years of experience with reviewing and preparing complex income tax returns, as well as working in a team and providing training and collaboration when needed. GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Under minimal supervision, the incumbent is a key member of the tax preparation and services team and has primary responsibility for performing individual and business/corporate tax return quality reviews, providing tax preparers feedback and guidance, and development and delivery of training to the tax services team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Perform comprehensive quality review of client tax returns.
2. Prepare and file complex individual and business returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
3. Provide training to tax preparation staff.
4. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax benefits.
5. Collaborate with clients and provide expert advice on structuring transactions to minimize tax liabilities, analyze financial statements and recommend adjustments to optimize tax positions.
6. Conduct or participate in client meetings both on the telephone and via Zoom video conference.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

1. BS degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA certification required five (5) years of hands-on experience as a tax professional.
2. Must have five (5) years of direct experience performing quality reviews of tax preparation for individual, corporate, international, and partnership returns.

OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES OR QUALIFICATIONS

1. Computer skills:
1. Proficient with tax software technology, Intuit ProConnect.
2. Enter data into firm CRM software (Canopy) and systems.
3. Work and be proficient with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
2. Ability to work with others in a team environment.
