Job Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Operations to oversee the operational performance of our fast-casual/quick-service restaurant chain. This leadership role involves managing and supporting a team of 6 District Managers, driving the company's operational goals, and ensuring consistent delivery of an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a track record of success in multi-unit restaurant management, and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee District Managers: Manage and support a team of 6 District Managers, ensuring they effectively lead their respective teams and meet performance objectives.
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, customer service, and quality across all locations. Ensure consistent operational standards, safety compliance, and adherence to company policies.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for each district and location, driving improvements in sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
  • Training & Development: Lead training initiatives for District Managers and restaurant teams to ensure alignment with brand standards and operational best practices.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Work closely with finance to ensure budgets are met, and costs are controlled across all districts. Monitor labor, food, and supply costs to improve profitability.
  • Brand Integrity: Ensure consistency in the guest experience, including food quality, service standards, and restaurant cleanliness, in alignment with the brand’s values and vision.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement long-term operational strategies to drive growth, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Problem Solving & Support: Act as the escalation point for complex issues, offering guidance and solutions to District Managers and store teams when needed.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all restaurants comply with health, safety, and regulatory requirements. Prepare regular operational reports and analyze trends to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in multi-unit restaurant management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role overseeing District Managers or similar teams.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence in fast-casual or quick-service restaurants.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills with a focus on developing talent and improving performance.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to visit restaurant locations and support District Managers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Hospitality, or related field.
  • Experience with restaurant management systems and tools (POS, scheduling, inventory management, etc.).
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices.
