About the Role

Are you ready to make a difference in your community? As a Dispatcher at Acadian Companies, you will play a crucial role in responding to emergency and non-emergency requests for ground and air ambulance services. Your quick thinking and effective communication will help save lives!

Key Responsibilities

• Assist ground and air resources for emergency and non-emergency responses.
• Coordinate notifications for first responders, including fire departments and other agencies.
• Receive and input requests for ground and air responses.
• Document daily activities accurately.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions using Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD).
• Train new Communication Center employees as needed.

• Standing: Up to 1/3 of the time
• Walking: Up to 1/3 of the time
• Sitting: Over 2/3 of the time
• Talking or Hearing: Over 2/3 of the time
• Using Hands: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time
• Climbing or Balancing: Up to 1/3 of the time
• Reaching: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time

Work Environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician is preferred.
• Completion of EMD certification is required.
