About the Role

Are you ready to make a difference in emergency response? As a Dispatcher at Acadian Companies, you will play a crucial role in coordinating ground and air ambulance responses. Your ability to manage inbound and outbound calls will ensure that help is on the way when it’s needed most!

Key Responsibilities

• Assist ground and air resources for both emergency and non-emergency situations.
• Coordinate notifications to first responders, including fire departments and other agencies.
• Receive and input requests for ground and air responses efficiently.
• Document daily activities to maintain accurate records.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions using Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) protocols.
• Train new Communication Center employees as needed.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician is preferred.
• Completion of EMD certification is required.

Physical and Working Conditions

This role involves a mix of sitting, talking, and using hands for various tasks. You may also need to stand, walk, and occasionally climb or balance. Here’s what to expect:

Physical Demands

• Stand: Up to 1/3 of the time
• Walk: Up to 1/3 of the time
• Sit: Over 2/3 of the time
• Talk or hear: Over 2/3 of the time
• Use hands: 1/3 to 2/3 of the time

Work Environment
