New Life Custom Carpentry is a leader in residential and commercial siding, specializing in new commercial construction and exterior renovations siding. With over ten years in the industry, we pride ourselves on our commitment to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. We are expanding our team and looking for skilled individuals who share our passion for construction and commercial siding.

We are currently seeking a skilled CAD Draftsman to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for creating detailed shop drawings and providing accurate takeoffs and estimates for our siding construction projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of construction and drafting principles. This role is currently a part-time or contract postion.

Responsibilities:

• Create and revise shop drawings for siding projects using AutoCAD software.
• Prepare and manage detailed drawings for construction projects.
• Conduct material takeoffs to estimate quantities and costs required for project bidding and construction.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather project specifications and requirements.
• Ensure all drawings and specifications meet industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Maintain an organized library of project documentation and CAD files.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving design issues during project lifecycle.
• Provide technical support and insights during project meetings and presentations.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related experience.
• Experience in CAD drafting, preferably in construction.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
• Strong understanding of construction materials and processes.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience/knowledge in siding construction projects is highly desirable.
