Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager

Location: Dandridge, TN

Work Arrangement: Full-Time, Onsite

Compensation: $85,000 - $95,000 annually, with full benefits, relocation assistance, and interview expense coverage.

Company Overview:
Our client, a premier employer in the East Tennessee region, operates a large manufacturing facility with a strong safety record. They are seeking an experienced EHS Manager to uphold and enhance their commitment to employee safety and environmental compliance. This is a critical role in maintaining regulatory adherence and fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Job Summary:
The EHS Manager will lead safety initiatives, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, and promote a culture of continuous improvement in safety standards. The role involves collaborating with plant leadership to develop safety programs, conducting audits, and addressing potential hazards to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on the production floor.
• Communicate the importance of safety initiatives to plant leadership and employees.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations , including air permitting, storm drainage, and EPA reporting.
• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and conduct regular safety audits.
• Identify and address potential hazards associated with new processes or equipment.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (required).
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS roles within manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with federal, state, and local environmental regulations , such as air permitting and EPA reporting requirements.
• Strong knowledge of safety program development, hazard identification, and conducting safety audits.
• Demonstrated ability to lead safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety within a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a Supervisor or Manager role.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with employees and leadership.
