*Key Responsibilities*:
* Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
* Perform patient intakes and discharge processes, including accurate record-keeping.
* Administer medications and provide support for treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
* Assist with restraint and handling of animals during exams and treatments.
* Perform surgical tasks, including placing IV catheters, venipuncture, intubation, and monitoring anesthesia during procedures.
* Support the surgical team in preparation, monitoring, and post-operative care of patients.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, exam rooms, and surgical suites.
* Perform basic diagnostic tests, such as TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration) and sample collection.
* Educate and communicate effectively with clients regarding care instructions and patient needs.
* Uphold the hospital's safety standards and ensure compliance with procedures and protocols.
*Qualifications*:
* Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant
* Proficiency in animal restraint and basic medical procedures.
* Familiarity with veterinary software and medical equipment.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting while providing compassionate patient care.
