The Houston Film Production Club is proud to announce that we will be grooming two very special candidates to become all star film making machines! HFPC’s Film Apprentice will be set up with all the necessary skills to work in the industry in a top tier capacity. They will be put through an exceptionally well rounded training process, but once completed the apprentice will have the chance to be placed on paying jobs with us, as well as being awarded a large budget to produce his or her very own production. We have two companies that the apprentice will be trained in (Entertainment film production and Commercial production). We will provide the apprentice with top rate training in every single area of film making, including

- professional camera operations

- editing (basics, key framing, animation graphics)

- sound engineering (basics)

- lighting

- casting & directing

- Social Media Management

The Film Apprentice will be expected to complete the entire training program/curriculum (the program's length is contingent upon the apprentices' learning capacity). This whole program is structured so you will complete it in your spare time. It is unpaid for the first 3 months of training; then after you have proven yourself, paid hands on training with actual commercial productions will be administered of $16 an hour for shooting and $12 an hour for editing. We work a lot with celebrities on commercial shoots and get MANY perks that you will also receive. We guarantee that you will learn more and cultivate a lot more useful skills that the industry is in demand for, than going to a film school at a University. Which is why this program is valued at 10's of thousands of dollars. And you will get for FREE and then compensated for to continue on.

Requirements

1.) Must be at least 21 years old

2.) Must be reliable and dependable! This is the most important quality. Since if you miss more than two training sessions, we will not continue the apprenticeship for you.

3.) Must have a desire to aid in producing live events as well as film production work.

4.) Must be available to participate in the Try Out on Saturday March 29th (10:00 am - 7 pm). The location is the westside of Houston by Beltway 8. You will be placed on a team for our exciting annual film contest, "Short Video Showdown." You and the other film apprentices will make a short film, and then showcase it at the end of the evening (it's free to enter for you as you will being trying out to be a film apprentice). This tryout is how we will select the Film Apprentices.

5.) Must be available for the training schedule of every Tuesday night (7 pm - 9:30 pm) and every other couple of Saturdays and Sundays a month (these hours will vary). The training location is in the River Oaks area of town.
