Required Qualifications: A Bachelor degree in Radiography, three (3) years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) employment in the field and current certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Equivalency: An Associate degree in Radiography, five (5) years of full-time (or equivalent part-time) employment in the field and current ARRT certification. Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by the Human Resources Department.

Position Summary:
The Allied Health Department at Southeast New Mexico College invites applications for a full-time Radiography Faculty position beginning Fall 2025. We are looking for a dynamic, compassionate, and committed professional to play a key role in the planning and development of our radiography program.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative and student-centered academic community. Requirements for the Position:
This full-time faculty position is based on a 9-month contract and includes a standard teaching load of 15 credit hours per semester (5/5 load), primarily focused on 100- and 200-level Radiography courses. In-person instruction is required, and the candidate must reside within commuting distance of Southeast New Mexico College in Carlsbad, NM.
Duties:
The following duties are intended to represent the general scope of responsibilities for this position. Additional duties may be assigned as needed, and the absence of specific tasks does not exclude them if they are consistent with the role’s overall purpose and responsibilities.
• Delivers effective in-person classroom instruction aligned with course learning outcomes.
• Teaches during evenings and weekends as needed.
• Holds regular office hours in accordance with faculty policies and is available to support students as needed.
• Develops, assesses, and continuously improves courses to ensure quality and relevance.
• Evaluates student performance and teaching effectiveness using the college’s established assessment systems.
• Adjusts curriculum to reflect current trends and workforce needs in the radiography field.
• Participates in professional development activities to stay current in the discipline and enhance instructional practices.
• Serves on college committees, task forces, and governance bodies to support institutional goals and foster a culture of learning.
• Collaborates with other departments on interdisciplinary initiatives, campus events, and instructional training opportunities.
• Attends all required faculty, departmental, training, and committee meetings.
• Performs additional duties as assigned to support the success of the program and the college.
Supervision & Support:
The faculty member will receive ongoing feedback, guidance, and support from their supervisor to foster professional growth and success in the role.
