About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Psychiatrist for a remote locum tenens position collaborating with a Nurse Practitioner in Texas. This 6-day assignment begins on 05/01/2025, with a potential for extension. The ideal candidate will work 10-15 hours per month, reviewing 5-10 charts per week and participating in weekly or bi-weekly 30-minute meetings with the NP. The psychiatrist will be responsible for reviewing and approving charts, providing explanations for non-approvals, and addressing any questions or concerns during NP meetings.

Job Details: 

Location: Texas (Remote)

Start Date: 05/01/2025 

LOA: 6 days (10-15 hours per month) 

Provider Type Needed: Psychiatrist 

Schedule: Flexible, between Monday and Saturday

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Review 5-10 patient charts per week 

• Sign off on charts for 1-2 patients seen by the collaborating NP 

• Participate in weekly or bi-weekly 30-minute meetings with the NP 

• Address questions and concerns during NP meetings 

• Provide psychiatric expertise and guidance

• Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures 

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Clarity system 

• Stay updated on current psychiatric practices and guidelines 

• Collaborate effectively in a remote working environment

Additional Information: 

• No direct patient care required; all work is chart review and NP collaboration 

• Strong communication skills essential for remote collaboration 

• Flexibility to adjust meeting schedules as needed 

• Current Texas medical license required
