Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Marketing and Event Coordinator will assist in developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement, and growth. This role will also execute a range of community and company events. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marketing principles, excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Marketing Coordination
    • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various platforms, including digital, social media, print, and email.
    • Create engaging content for marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, blog posts, and social media updates.
    • Oversee and update social media profiles, create and schedule posts, and analyze performance metrics to improve engagement and reach.
    • Conduct research to identify market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform marketing strategies.
    • Track and report on marketing campaign performance, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Community Event Planning
    • Develop and implement strategies for community-focused events, fairs, and local outreach programs.
    • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organizations, and stakeholders to promote and support events.
    • Create and execute promotional plans to increase community participation and awareness, utilizing various communication channels such as social media, local media, and community bulletins.
    • Oversee the setup, execution, and teardown of community events, ensuring a smooth and successful experience for all attendees.
  • Company Event Planning
    • Plan and execute company events such as team-building activities, company retreats, holiday parties, and employee recognition events.
    • Manage event logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangements, catering, audiovisual needs, and decor.
    • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and adherence to financial guidelines.
    • Collect feedback from attendees, analyze event success, and provide recommendations for future improvements. 
  • Develop, create, and publish internal communications, including newsletters, updates, and announcements, to effectively engage and inform employees across the organization.
  • Plans for professional growth and continuous development through participation in professional seminars, workshops, and affiliations keeping abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
  • Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and adheres to company policies as described in the employment handbook and company work rules.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to successfully work with all levels of management and staff.
  • High integrity, including maintenance of confidential information.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

Three years’ experience in marketing and/or event coordination.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
