Role Overview:
As a Medical Editor/Proofreader, you hold a crucial position ensuring the accuracy, clarity, and compliance of our promotional content. We are seeking individuals with a keen eye for detail, a strong grasp of English grammar and AMA style, and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical marketing. Your responsibilities will include copy editing, fact-checking, and maintaining editorial standards while upholding brand guidelines. A solid foundation in scientific and medical concepts is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Copy, edit, and fact-check materials to ensure consistency and adherence to established grammar, punctuation, spelling rules, and style guidelines.
Proofread materials to verify alignment with approved content, format, and graphics.
Stay abreast of FDA, EU, and relevant industry guidelines to ensure compliance with sponsor and regulatory requirements.
Identify copyrighted material requiring permission for reproduction and manage permission requests as needed.
Utilize company project management and communication software effectively.
Collaborate with the team to incorporate client and medical-legal review feedback, addressing required revisions.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing and proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, and AMA style.
Strong knowledge of scientific and medical concepts, crucial for maintaining content accuracy.
Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
Detail-oriented with strong copyediting and data integrity review abilities.
Familiarity with the AMA style guide.
Knowledge of FDA and EU requirements, ICH regulations, and ISO standards preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong time management skills with a focus on prioritization and organization to meet deadlines.
Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in English, Life Sciences, or Clinical Sciences.
Minimum 5 years of professional copyediting experience, demonstrating a track record of maintaining content quality and adherence to regulatory standards.
Physical Requirements:

This is a remote role that requires extended periods of sitting, frequent computer use, and participation in virtual meetings. Candidates must have clear speech and hearing, and maintain a quiet, ergonomic workspace with reliable internet access.
