What we're looking for?

Looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join the engineering team. In this role, you'll design, build and maintain server-side applications and services that power my clients growing platform.

You'll be an ideal fit if you have strong experience with Node.js and a passion for writing clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js and Python
• Build and optimize database schemas and queries in PostgreSQL
• Deploy and manage applications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement solutions
• Contribute to system architecture decisions and technical planning
• Write clean, well-tested, and documented code
• Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Node.js for backend development
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Hands-on experience with GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL)
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with TypeScript or strong typing systems
• Familiarity with message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of security best practices for web applications
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Experience with GraphQL
• Agile/Scrum methodology experience
