In This Role You Will
Perform nutrition assessment and certification, counseling, nutrition education and referrals for WIC applicants and participants.
Prepare high-risk participant certification records for signature of Nutritionist.
Assist in development of education materials, Facilitate demonstrations, audio -visual presentation and other activities for participants.
Participate in quality assurance activities.
Provide follow-up nutrition education.
Participate in nutrition in services and in policy-making staff meetings.
The Successful Applicant Will Offer
High School diploma or G.E.D. College courses and/or work experience in health care field preferred. Bilingual helpful.
History of good attendance and positive work attitude.
Good communications skills and interpersonal skills.
Prioritization and organizational skills.
Sensitivity to the needs of the client population.
Must be available to work at multiple sites, Saturdays, and during evening hours.
Must have reliable transportation and a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
