Flexible On-Call Security Rover – 1099 Contractor

Pay: $19.50/hr
Shift Differential: +$1.50 for working overnight and weekends (Sat & Sun)
Employment Type: 1099 Contractor
Attendance Bonus: $75/month for perfect attendance

Join the elite team at Hawque Protection Group (HPG) — where purpose meets protection. We’re currently hiring On-Call Rovers (Unarmed Security Guards) to cover flexible, short-notice shifts across various client sites throughout the Greater Atlanta Area .

This position is designed for professionals with limited availability due to school, full-time jobs, or other responsibilities. It is ideal for those with at least 2 years of experience in security or related fields who are seeking flexibility without sacrificing pay or professionalism.

Schedule & Shift Expectations

• Flexible days — including weekends
• Shift start times vary between 6:00 AM – 6:00 AM (24-hour coverage)
• Must be able to report within 4 hours of being contacted
• Commit to at least 4 shifts per week , including 1 weekend shift
• Shifts are offered by the Rover Coordinator based on your stated availability
• Three (3) shift refusals may result in removal from the Rover pool

What You’ll Do

• Patrol & Surveillance: Secure assigned sites with vigilance and professionalism
• Incident Response: Address security concerns, emergencies, or suspicious activity quickly and calmly
• Client Service: Maintain a polished, professional presence and engage respectfully with staff, residents, and visitors
• Policy Enforcement: Follow and enforce all site-specific access and safety protocols
• Documentation: Log incidents, patrols, and observations accurately
• Brand Representation: Uphold HPG’s white-glove standards at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of experience in security, military, or public safety
• Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• CPR/First Aid or additional certifications (preferred)
• Willingness to report to various sites across the metro area
