Minimum Requirements:

The Paralegal contractor shall be experienced and knowledgeable in
secretarial duties, understanding legal terms and procedures, time management and organization
skills.
The contractor will also need to be bi-lingual proficient in English and Spanish. The
contractor must have a valid drivers license.
Provide services as a Paralegal/Legal
Assistant II per DOL occupation code 30362 for the El Yunque National Forest Headquarters, in
Puerto Rico.
The contractor would be responsible to perform a variety of land acquisition duties in support of
the EYNF Lands Management Program.
The position duties including but not limited to
electronic filing, reviews case files, prepares and analyzes lands acquisition forms and legal
documents, coordinates with partners, studies and synthesizes current research and reports
related to land acquisition activities and database entry.
Drafts and edits non-legal memoranda,
research reports and correspondence relating to cases.
The contractor should exercise
independent judgement while researching, summarizing related cases and case-law, and
providing legal references.
The contractor will be expected to enter data into government databases and will need to meet all security and cyber-security requirements and procedures to protect government property,
equipment, and information systems.
