Real Estate Private Equity Intern Summer 2025
Real Estate Private Equity is an exciting industry with the power to shape communities and change the built environment. The Intern role at FCP is a unique opportunity to explore a career in this sector, offering an amazing training ground that includes working directly with the firms leadership and other industry leaders, development of core financial and analytical skills and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact early in your career.
The intern program will last 8 weeks, starting June 2, 2025, through July 25, 2025, and be based in the Washington, D.C. office. Interns will participate in a 6-week rotational program gaining experience in each of the firms business lines and finish the final 2 weeks working on special projects using the knowledge and skills they have developed. Housing is not provided but assistance may be available if needed.
YOUR ROLE:
As a Real Estate Intern, you will gain experience by:
Reviewing and analyzing financial statements, operating budgets, rent rolls, and capital expenditure budgets
Researching and evaluating economic, demographic and detailed real estate market data
Conducting property site inspections and market tours (some travel may be required)
Creating financial analysis, including cash flow projections and investment return calculations
Creating memos for presentation to senior acquisitions and/or asset management personnel
Coordinating/managing due diligence review and closing process
Assisting with arranging and closing debt financing
Presenting property performance to the entire firm
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
Rising Seniors (Only 2026 graduates will be considered)
Strong preference for candidates with interest or course study in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, or another industry allowing for development of analytical, business or client skills
Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Strong proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Motivated self-starter with effective time management skills and strong attention to detail
A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment
