As a Sales Trainer, your top priority will be giving Relias sales professionals the tools, skills and knowledge they need to be effective in their roles as part of the Sales organization. The Sales Trainer will work with the Director of Enablement to identify any training and enablement requirements, identify appropriate training methods, develop enablement materials and programs and identify areas for improvement.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: 

  • Conducting training for new and current sales associates and working with sales leadership to develop individualized training plans
  • Collaborating with sales leadership to determine training needs for individuals and/or vertical teams in the SMB, Mid-Market and Enterprise sales divisions
  • Improving training techniques when needed to meet the unique demands of certain verticals and/or the corporate sales market at large
  • Scheduling orientations and related training events for individuals and teams
  • Becoming familiar with/and eventually able to speak to all the steps of the Sales Call Process utilized at Relias
  • Staying up to date on current market trends and the changing demands of the corporate sales environment

  • General Instructional Design: ability to create effective, engaging, and goal-oriented instructional content
  • Content Writing: ability to create clear, engaging, and purpose-driven content tailored to various audiences, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, diversity, equity, and inclusion principles, and industry best practices
  • Project Management: ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects to achieve specific goals within set constraints such as time, cost, and scope
  • Interpersonal Relationships: ability to establish and maintain positive and productive connections with others, encompassing the skills, attitudes, and behaviors necessary to build rapport, communicate effectively, collaborate, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner
  • Communication: skills and abilities necessary to effectively convey and exchange information, ideas, and feelings between individuals or groups using various verbal and non-verbal methods to deliver messages clearly, accurately, and appropriately, while also actively listening and understanding the messages received
  • Creativity: ability to generate original and innovative ideas, solutions, or approaches to problem-solving, including the capacity to think divergently, break away from conventional thinking patterns, and produce unique and valuable outcomes

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (MINIMUM REQUIRED)

  • 3+ years’ experience in a sales environment
  • 2+ years’ experience in sales training role in a technology company

EDUCATION REQUIRED (MINIMUM REQUIRED)

  • Bachelor’s Degree

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION PREFERRED

  • 5+ years’ experience in a sales environment
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales training role in a technology company
  • Knowledge of leading sales methodology practices (i.e. Solution Selling, Strategic Selling, etc)

You would be expected to work in our Morrisville, NC Headquarters approximately 30 days/quarter.
