CoWorx Staffing Services has an exciting new opportunity for a Security Specialist in Charlestown NH. This is a 1st shift, direct hire role offering an excellent total compensation package including a quarterly bonus working with a great team!
- Install card readers, sensors, door hardware, and control boards for electronic access control systems.
- Installation of cameras on the interior and exterior of the building.
- Maintain and update Camera software and firmware
- Maintain and update Camera server software applications
- Perform preventative maintenance on electronic equipment both hardware and software.
- Install and troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic access control and camera system equipment and hardware, intrusion, and fire alarm systems.
- Use access control software and mobile applications for programming, troubleshooting, status updates, and generating reports from the databases.
- Coordinate with management, vendors, contractors relative to budgets, timelines, and project criteria.
- On-going long range project planning and management of the security systems.
- Assist in infrastructure capital improvement projects and document changes and upgrades to the Facilities drawings.
- Coordinate with Facilities and IT in construction/renovation of all projects to include, but not limited to, routing of all wires and cables.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Department to revise and create all necessary drawings and control documents of all existing security systems.
- Backup and continue to transfer and update all documents to Confluence for company wide availability.
- Maintains records of security related equipment.
- Create and maintain policies and procedures for property security including monitoring systems and access control.
- Create and maintain policies and plans, strategies and operating procedures regarding safety and security for employees, visitors and customers while at the facility.
- Assist Facilities in maintaining accessibility to the campus for maintenance purposes.
- Works with Facilities and Safety on conducting drill training or assisting others in procedures as it pertains to door access.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess, identify, and mitigate any system vulnerabilities or gaps.
- Maintains current knowledge and skills of industry best practices.
- Respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
- Coordinate with law enforcement in times of emergency regarding access and camera accessibility.
- In addition to the job duties listed above, other job duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of Information and Technology field experience.
- Knowledge of IP cameras, access control, and security system equipment testing, repair, and maintenance procedures.
- Advanced skills with IP based networking and equipment configurations.
- Experience with low voltage cable management and best practices.
- Ability to terminate and test ethernet and other low voltage wiring.
- Basic system programming skills.
- Ability to work with blueprints and as-is-builds.
- Knowledge of technical and operating methods, tools, equipment, and materials used in security system equipment testing, repair, installation, and maintenance work.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and third parties.
- Ability to work independently and problem solve with limited supervision.
- Occasionally lift an 80 lb. extension ladder
- Work 15 to 25 feet above ground
- Flexibility to work overtime and travel overnight as needed.
