Senior IP Paralegal The Senior Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Paralegal will support the IP Litigation attorneys within the IP Section. The Senior IP Litigation Paralegal will act as lead paralegal on large, complex cases and be responsible for providing case management, document production and review, legal research, trial preparation and other substantive duties with an emphasis on U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and section 337 matters. Base pay range for this role is $125,000 to $150,000 per year. This does not include the bonus structure or list of direct hire benefits. Key Responsibilities: Case Management: Handle complex IP litigation cases in the ITC and federal district court. This includes managing discovery, research, hearings, and trial preparation Discovery Process: Coordinate electronic and paper discovery, depositions, transcripts, and trial support Document Management: Organize and maintain databases, privilege logs, discovery documents, physical evidence, summaries, and deposition transcripts Research & Analysis: Research case documents, prior testimony, opposing experts’ publications, court rules, and procedures. Analyze and compile timelines and reports Coordination with External Parties: Obtain materials from vendors, clients, and agencies such as the USPTO and USITC-EDIs Deposition Logistics: Oversee logistics for depositions and trial preparation Client and Witness Meetings: Assist in preparing for client, witness, expert, and outside counsel meetings Legal Filings: Coordinate the preparation and filing of briefs, legal documents, and electronic court filings Trial Support: Manage trial preparation and activities such as exhibits, trial notebooks, expert binders, and war room setup Post-Trial: Manage post-trial activities Monitoring Changes: Stay up to date with rule changes in federal and state courts, ITC, USPTO, and other administrative forums Mentorship: Mentor and train junior paralegals Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree Experience: 7 years of litigation experience, with a preference for patent and ITC litigation experience Technical Skills: Expertise in document management and review software like DeskSite, Relativity, West Case Notebook, and Trial Director Litigation Knowledge: Strong understanding of the litigation process and familiarity with USPTO and ITC practices and procedures Communication & Organizational Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and administrative skills There are no costs for candidates utilizing our services as our clients pay for all related hiring fees.
