St. John Paul II Classical Catholic School in Lincoln Park, MI is looking for a qualified substitute teacher for kindergarten through 8th grade. St.JPIICCS is a Catholic school attached to Christ the Good Shepherd Parish and is fully committed to teaching the Classical Curriculum. The candidate should be familiar with the Trivium (logic / rhetoric / grammar) and should be able to instill truth, beauty, and goodness in their students and also their daily experience of learning.

The following are required of the candidate:

• Provide instruction and manage classroom on behalf of teacher for full or partial days.
• Must interact professionally with students, staff, and parents.
• Assist in maintaining school decorum and work to maximize learning while following an organized substitute lesson plan.

Qualifications:

• Valid or ensuing college degree.

• Strong example of Catholic faith.

• Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with students, parents, and staff.

• Strong communication, technology, and organizational skills.

• Competency in student management and supervision.

• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining Protecting God's Children certification.
• Must pass a background check.

Remuneration:

• Commensurate with level of academic degree and experience.
