\n Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.\nEssential Responsibilities:\n -Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position.\n-Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.\n-Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.\n-Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician order on assigned patients.\n-Assists physician in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.\n-Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.\n-Administers medication as prescribed.\n-Initiates, regulates and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.\n-Delivers patient care competently.\n-Interacts with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the hospital and at time of discharge.\n-Informs patient and family of hospital procedures.\n-Makes referral regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.\n-Delegates tasks to support staff.\nSkills: Required Skills & Experience:\n-Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures.\n-Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.\n-Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees.\n-Good verbal and written communication skills.\n-Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.\n-Some computer skills.\nPreferred Skills & Experience:\n- N/A\nKeywords:\nEducation: Required Education:\n-ASN\nPreferred Education:\n-BSN\nRequired Certifications & Licensure:\n-Current Oklahoma nursing license, or current multistate compact RN license.\n-BLS (American Heart Assoc.)\n-NRP (American Heart Assoc.)\nPreferred Certifications & Licensure:\nMedical Solutions Job ID #854263.
