Job Description

Job Title: WordPress Developer (Front-End Focus) POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a skilled WordPress Developer with strong front-end development skills to join our fulfillment team. The role involves collaborating with analysts, writers, and developers to build, update, and maintain websites primarily using WordPress. Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and WordPress is essential, with a keen eye for responsive design and detail. Bonus points for experience in PHP and plugin/theme development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build and maintain responsive websites using WordPress. Convert mockups and designs (from tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch) into fully functional WordPress websites. Collaborate with the fulfillment team to implement front-end features and fixes. Style pages using clean CSS/SCSS for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Customize and extend WordPress themes and plugins as needed. Upload and format website content within WordPress. Participate in quality assurance to deliver pixel-perfect results. Contribute creative input and challenge assumptions where appropriate. Assist with occasional design tasks, such as layout tweaks and basic logo placement.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

3+ years of WordPress development experience. Familiarity with WordPress themes, templates, custom post types, and ACF. Experience with page builders like Elementor or Beaver Builder is a plus. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch. Basic understanding of Git/version control. Comfortable with project management and CRM software. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team. Excellent communication skills in English. Positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude.

BONUS SKILLS:

Experience with WordPress plugin development. Familiarity with SCSS, AWS, or SEO best practices. Understanding accessibility (ADA/WCAG) principles.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Web Development, Computer Science, Design, or related field preferred. Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
